Rules of Competition and Instructions to Teams
1. Games will be played under the rules of the E.R.F.S.U.
2. All players must be under 18 years of age on 1st September 2008.
3. Where team jerseys clash then the second team named in the draw
must change strip. All teams must bring a change of strip.
4. Teams must adhere to the timetable, which may be varied by the
Ground Masters as necessary. Any team 10 minutes
late for their K.O. will forfeit the win to the other team.
5. Each team is allowed five reserves, one of whom is to act as touch
judge.
6. In each game seven minutes each way will be played with a one minute
interval. In the event of a tie at the end of any
Group Match, the result will stand i.e. No “Sudden Death”
play off.
7. Where teams are level at the top of a Group at the end of the morning’s
games, the school with the highest points
difference is the Winner of the Group. If the points differential
is identical, the school which won the match between the
two schools is the Winner of the Group. If that match was drawn the
team which scored the most tries in that game is
the Winner. If still identical, the toss of a coin will decide the
Winner.
8. In the event of a tie in the Quarter Finals, Semi Finals or Final,
ends will be changed every seven minutes with no
interval until either side scores. The match will then finish.
9 . The winning teams will be presented with their Trophies immediately
after the final.
10 . In all cases the decision of the Ground Master is final.
